You’re Not Alone

Biological moms, step-moms, foster moms, adoptive moms – we all struggle. And yet, we all feel like all the other moms have it all together and know exactly what they are doing. But, that couldn’t be further from the truth. None of our kids came with instruction manuals or quick start guides or even a list of tips. And there isn’t just one right way to mother, raise kids, or handle teenagers. If only we talked to each other more openly and honestly, we would realize that not one of us knows what we are doing. And then we would know that we are not alone.

Mothers put so much on our shoulders. From running the household, to running our kids all over creation every. single. day, to running the washer and dryer, we feel like we never are allowed to stop running. And when we finally do stop running and realize that we matter, too, it’s often when we’re already at our breaking point and way past the point where we are going to incorporate self-reflection and self-care to help ourselves. We take two minutes to have a quick cry – not even a very good cry, at that – and then get right back to it.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. And you don’t have to feel like the world’s worst mother because you feel like you can’t, or maybe don’t even want to, do it anymore. You are doing the best you can. And, you are not alone.

When you engage in consulting services with B Connecting, LLC, you will get a trained, listening, empathetic ear who will not judge you or tell you to “suck it up” or tell you to stop complaining. You will get to spend an hour with someone who cares about your overall well-being and especially your mental health. You will get to stop and sit in a welcoming, comfortable environment. You will get to take the time to look at what’s happening from the outside instead of from the inside, and you will get guidance while identifying what needs to change. You will get a consultant who is trained in trauma and evidence-based strategies that you can implement from day one, while setting and working toward personal and professional goals. You will get someone who understands and who has been there herself. You are not alone.
