The world got heavier this week for a lot of people and in a lot of ways. There are broken hearts after local, national, and international tragedies. So many people in my small circle are struggling with anger, fear, frustration, grief, and hurt right now. The thing to keep in mind is, it is not your job to fix everything or everyone. But, there always is something you can do.

What would happen if we all took care of our own small space in this world? What if we cared about each other, looked out for each other, and helped each other? What if we lifted each other up instead of put each other down? What if we rooted for each other instead of competed with one another? What if we actively sought out what we have in common? What if we focused on our corner and allowed others to see what we did? What if we inspired them to do the same?
Those of us in human services are tired. Typically, my blog posts flow fairly naturally, but this week it’s been more difficult to get the words out. So, this is what I have for you today. Take care of each other. Get support if you’re struggling to take care of yourself. If we all do what we can do, when we can do it, the world just may start to change. What if?

My colleagues and I at Pine Creek Valley Wellness Center continue to provide support to clients both online and in person, and some of us currently have openings without waitlists. I also have openings for Reiki healing sessions and chakra readings to help you recenter, recharge, and relax. Reach out for more information or schedule online when you are ready to start making things feel a little lighter.
